| About the Drucker Foundation
The Drucker Foundation in Canada is named for and inspired by Peter F. Drucker and the Leader to Leader Institute, formerly the Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management, New York.
Established in 1993 by David Beatty, O.B.E., Donald G. Simpson and Dawn Robinson Ralph and led by an Advisory Board the Foundation furthers its mission to encourage society to view the social sector as a leading force in creating healthy communities and improving the quality of life.
The Foundation, sponsored by some of Canada’s largest corporations and nonprofit organizations and the generosity of committed individuals, brings together people who share similar ideas and desire successful outcomes. The ongoing commitment of Sponsors and Partners is critical to the Foundation’s achieving its goals to find the innovators, recognize and celebrate their example and inspire innovation.
The Drucker Foundation is a charitable organization and does not make financial grants, rather its offerings include:
- Finding the innovative programs in the Canadian Nonprofit Sector each year through The Drucker Award
- Ideas for assessing your own innovative program using the 2004 Application.
- Recognizing and celebrating the innovators at the annual Celebration Event and highlighting their examples in the Winner’s Circle.
- Showcasing more than 800 examples of Canadian innovative programs and resources online at www.innovativepractices.com
