| About the Drucker Award
"Somewhere in North America, no matter what the problem, some nonprofit organization is solving it."
Peter F. Drucker
The Peter F. Drucker Award for Canadian Nonprofit Innovation is given each year to a nonprofit organization in recognition of a program that has made a difference in the lives of the people it serves -- producing results that exemplify Peter F. Drucker's definition of innovation: "Change that creates a new dimension of performance." It is in this area - where needs are dramatic and financial resources are typically very limited - that Drucker sees a particular challenge to help organizations practice innovation.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS STILL TO BE DETERMINED for 2005.
Award Selection Criteria
The program must:
- further the mission of the organization;
- have specific and measurable outcomes;
- exemplify innovation by demonstrating a "new dimension" of performance;
- have made a difference in the lives of the people it serves; and
- serve as a model that can be replicated or adapted by other organizations
Please note: The Drucker Award is not presented to an individual, nor for the general work of an organization.
