The primary objective of the "Station Arts Centre" project is to promote the arts through education, seminars, entertainment and public awareness and exposure. The Centre itself consists of a teaching/seminar space, an art Gallery, a Craft Gallery, a Tea Room, and a Performing Arts Theatre. These five components work hand in hand; one concept leads to another.
In addition, the Centre promotes heritage and preservation of historically designated sites and buildings, provided they be active, creative, functional community facilities.
The Centre also promotes culture, heritage and agriculture as seen through the eyes of Seager Wheeler, the famous Wheat King of Rosthern. From his story emerged the drama Harvest Moon, which had three successful summer theatre seasons at the Centre.
