The Center for Women in Business was established to ease the obstacles faced by potential and existing women entrepreneurs. The Center offers information, referrals, support, networking activities, specific training, one-on-one counseling, and a motivating environment. As well, CWB promotes the role of entrepreneurs through the media and manages research activities.
The mandate for the Center for Women in Business is to operate self-sufficiently to supply information and referrals; facilitate networking and cooperation with other organizations; remote women in business and potential entrepreneurs; provide access to training; and manage research activities.
CWB activities include networking evenings, working groups, information sessions, special events, oral presentations, workshops, CWB client projects and promotional events to inspire and motivate potential and existing entrepreneurs.
